eGov Solutions, headquartered in Wilmslow, Cheshire, was founded by Managing Director Gary Daniels in 2003 with the vision of developing the electronic Personal Education Plan (ePEP) for looked-after children.
Over the years, we have established ourselves as the most widely used and highly recommended platform in the UK, dedicated to enhancing the educational progress and outcomes for vulnerable children. Our reach extends across 86% of local authorities, supporting over 15,600 schools throughout England and Wales, with a user base of approximately 67,000.
Our secure platform effectively tracks attendance, academic achievement, and progress, aligning with national age-related expectations. We maintain close liaison with key Education Bodies and the DfE to ensure that ePEP™ meets and adheres to statutory guidance.

Over 20 years ago, we worked alongside schools to develop the UK's first digital ePEP. The aim wasn't to create a product — it was to help ensure that no child's education is overlooked, and that the information professionals rely on is clear, consistent, and accessible.

The ePEP platform has evolved from a tool for recording individual PEPs to a comprehensive information management system that serves as a reporting tool for Virtual Schools nationwide. Today, the system operates as the ePEP Single Sign-On platform for educators in over 15,600 schools, demonstrating our commitment to supporting the educational landscape for vulnerable children across the country.
